Bob Pearson is a photojournalist and editor with over 30 years of experience in newspaper and wire service photography. Bob has recently relocated to Lafayette, CO where he now shares a photography business with his wife, Cynthia Hunter. Bob is also a featured speaker at Nikon School, is founder of the Hill Country Photo Workshops and is a digital and computer consultant in the Denver, CO area.
Pearson has covered sports, politics and the human condition around the world. He has covered Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer, Copa America soccer, the Baseball World Series, the College World Series, multiple Super Bowls, and all the major US golf tournaments, including the Masters Tournament. He spent years with Agence France-Presse(AFP) covering politics and civil strife in the Caribbean, the US, Central and South America and in the Middle East. As a staff photographer for AFP, Pearson was the first photographer to transmit photos of the liberation of Kuwait City in the first Gulf War. He worked for 11 years in Washington, DC as Chief Photographer and Director of Photography for AFP, covering the White House and Capitol Hill, and coordinating coverage for all of North America.
Pearson's photographs have been published worldwide, including all major newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, USAToday, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, The Dallas Morning News, Time, Newsweek, US News and World Report, McCleans, Paris Match, Der Spiegel and others.
